Chamomile + Calendula + Lard

Preparation

Melt 100 g of pure lard in a small pot on low heat. Add 2 tablespoons each of dried chamomile flowers and dried calendula petals. Simmer on the lowest heat for 45–60 minutes — do not boil. Strain through fine muslin cloth while still liquid. Pour into a clean jar and allow to cool and solidify.

Usage

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Gently clean the skin before each application. Do not apply to open wounds or broken skin. Store in a cool, dark place and use within 3–4 weeks.
